National Park Service American Rivers 40th Anniversary
(West Virginia) The Wild and Scenic Rivers Act was signed into law by President Lyndon Johnson on October 2, 1968, and protects many of our nation's most spectacular rivers. Celebrate the 40th Anniversary with National Park Service at New River Gorge this weekend, October 4-5, 2008. National Park Service Celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month
