Junior Achievement (JA) volunteers educate kids on the economics of life through free enterprise education.  Before entering a classroom, volunteers are trained and receive a curriculum.  Volunteer programs include:

Exchange City: an interactive program for 5th and 6th graders that involves student management of a simulated society/economy.  The 14 businesses in Exchange City, include a bank, broadcast studio, city hall, distribution, wellness and multi-service centers, newspaper, post office, technology and snack shops, and retail stores - international, sign, and nature.

JA Classroom Volunteer: present JA's hands-on economic education programs to classes in public, private, and parochial schools in the greater New Orleans region. Volunteers attend a one-hour training session or can train online.  Volunteers then present to classrooms five to eight 45-minute JA economics activities. Programs are age appropriate and are offered to students in grades K-12.
