Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Southeast Louisiana continues to provide quality mentoring services to children living in southeast Louisiana. Although our offices were destroyed by flood waters, we moved into our new headquarters in November 2006 and are now located at 2626 Canal Street, Suite 203, New Orleans, Louisiana 70119. We have expanded our service area to better reach those most impacted by the storm and its aftermath from the original 8 parishes to 17. We are rebuilding our staff as they rebuild their lives and we want you to know that we care deeply about our program families, our wonderfully giving volunteers, and that together we will continue to rebuild Southeast Louisiana. - M. Dolores Medina-Whitfield, CEO Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Southeast Louisiana exists to facilitate one-to-one relationships between children and qualified volunteers who serve as friends and role models. Big Brothers/Big Sisters has been the number one mentoring program for youth for over 100 years. We are a volunteer driven organization with a proven track record of success in serving families and kids. Our Bigs are friends who reach out to kids for a little one on one time. Our Bigs share a meal, a story, a movie, a walk in the park, or whatever may seem like a fun engaging activity that will help to build a solid foundation for a true friendship. Our Goal We are committed to making southeast Louisiana a better place for our families to raise their children by working with businesses, schools, and parishes, to provide this quality service to all children who desire it. Our goal is to serve 2,000 kids by 2010. BBBS Monthly Newsletter! Check out our latest newsletter! Want to add a little Magic to your life, then become a Big!
