VooDoo Hire Derek Stingley as Defensive Coordinator
The New Orleans VooDoo have hired Derek Stingley as defensive coordinator, it was announced today by the club.
Stingley, the 2008 af2 Coach of the Year with the South Georgia Wildcats and one of the AFL's most sought after coaches, comes to the VooDoo after serving as a head coach in af2 for the past four seasons, most recently with the Wildcats from 2007-08, who he guided to back to back ten win seasons coupled with playoff berths.

Following a season that saw the club improve their win total by three games as they continue to build a championship team on and off the field, the New Orleans VooDoo received the Arena Football Leagues Best Support Staff Award during the ArenaBall Awards Ceremony held in the Crescent City on Friday, July 25.
