Important Information (updated 9/6/08)
Archbishop Chapelle will open on Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, for a regular day of school. Since the faculty in-service has been cancelled, all students, faculty, and staff are to report to school for a regular day E.
There will be no cafeteria service available, so please bring a lunch from home.

Important Information for Seniors (9/3/08)
In order to give your Ring Day the attention it deserves, the ring ceremony and ring dance will be rescheduled. As soon as the date is set, we will let you know.

The Community Prayer Breakfast has been postponed due to the uncertainty of the weather. We continue pray to our Patroness, Our Lady of Prompt Succor, that you remain safe. Once we have a new date scheduled, we will inform you.

Archbishop Chapelle's Birthday

Archbishop Placide Louis Chapelle was born in Mende, France, on August 28, 1842.  Traditionally, the students have birthday cake during lunch to celebrate the occasion.  more pictures
Mrs. Jeannine Burk of Kenner, a holocaust survivor, spoke to several religion classes today.  She shared stories of experience during this period.  Mrs. Burk is picture with Mrs. Aline Harbison, ACHS religion teacher.

During the Opening School Liturgy, class officers received their pins
and a special blessing from Father Bob Massett.

Pictured is Molly St. Romain, ’09 modeling the new band uniform for the band. The band will have a new look this year, starting with the ARHS Jamboree August 28th. The complete new uniform should be in sometime during the Holidays.
