What to Expect
Complete a Louisiana Voter Registration form at the City Hall office, or at any of these mandated sites:
- Department of Motor Vehicles offices
- Department of Social Services offices
- WIC offices
- Food Stamp offices
- Medicaid offices
- Offices serving people with disabilities
- Armed Forces Recruitment offices
Or mail in a Voter Registration Card, available at a number of sites, including:
- Whitney banks
- New Orleans Public libraries
- Regions banks
- New Orleans Municipal Employee Credit Union

Orleans Parish, State of Louisiana and the U.S.
Other
Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship
- Age 18 by time of the next election
- Not under order of imprisonment for a felony
- Not under judgment of interdiction for mental incompetence
- Reside in the state and parish in which you seek to register
- There are no residency time limits, but you must register 30 days prior to an election to be able to vote in that election.
